    Its clear, calm waters are ideal for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The island boasts a 1.25-mile paved pathway perfect for walking, jogging, or biking, with stunning views of the surrounding Intracoastal Waterway.

    One of Peanut Island's most intriguing features is the historic John F. Kennedy bunker, a Cold War-era fallout shelter built in secrecy for the former president. Tours of the bunker are available.
